Hello Guys!!! My name is Varun Shrivastava and in this blog I am going to explain about the 5 ghostly phenomena scientifically. Before proceeding with my facts I would like to say that ghosts are baloney. I am an agnostic and I do not believe in anything which cannot be explained by giving a proper explanation and facts. Humans often fear the unknown and once we know about something we know how to handle it.3 Scientific Explanations for the Ghostly Phenomena
1. INFRA-SOUND
You guys, might have heard about the stories told by the frightened witnesses about the things moving in a very weird manner or things vibrating in a paranormal way. When these stories were told to the ghost hunter they formulated a theory saying that "The spirits who wants to show their presence or the spirits who wants to be recognized do these kind of activities in order to gain the attention". But when the same story was put in front of the scientists, they had a very simple rather boring explanation for this kind of phenomena...
Vic Tandy is a British researcher and he also saw a ghost when he was sitting in his office and working on some project late night. He was frightened by this incident. And few days later he again saw the ghost, but this time he also saw the swords which was kept near the windows vibrating on its own, and suddenly everything just clicked for Vic Tandy and he came up with an explanation of INFRA-SOUND.
Now the question arise, what is infra-sound?
Well, INFRA-SOUND is a sound which is below 6 Hz and it is not audible to human ears as human ears are capable of hearing the sounds which comes in the frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 KHz . But, we can still feel the vibrations caused by the infra-sound. We can feel the vibrations in our stomach, it can cause headache, nausea, hallucination and many more such problems. So, the fact behind the vibration of the sword was the resonance which was being produced by the infra-sound. And their are many sources for the infra-sound such as shuttle-launching, industries, machine or even the faulty equipments in your house.

2. IDEO-MOTOR EFFECT
The era of 1880s and 1890s was the era of spiritualists movement. People all around the world tried to contact and talk to their dear ones who are dead. And many methods were opted by many psychic and other spiritual people who claimed to bridge the gap between the living and the dead. Some of the most popular methods which were used to contact spirits were the Ouija board (pronounced as 'wee jah') and Table Turning method.
OUIJA BOARD
The Ouija board, also known as a spirit board or talking board, is a flat board marked with the letters of the alphabet, the numbers 0–9, the words "yes", "no", "hello" (occasionally), and "goodbye", along with various symbols and graphics. It uses a planchette (small heart-shaped piece of wood) or movable indicator to indicate the spirit's message by spelling it out on the board during a seance. Participants place their fingers on the planchette, and it is moved about the board to spell out words. "Ouija" has become a trademark that is often used generically to refer to any talking board.
The scientist Michael Faraday was very amazed by Ouija board and later he tried it. He was really spooked when he saw the planchette moving on its own. But he was a scientist and scientists are curious so he worked arduously to find out the reason behind ouija board. Finally, after some days he was able to tell the secret behind the ouija board and it was because of the Ideo-motor effect.
Ideo-motor effect is a psychological phenomena, in which the muscles of the body is controlled by the sub-concious mind unintentionally. So, the planchette was actually being moved by the people holding it but they were not at all aware of it as it was all happening unintentionally by the subconscious mind.

TABLE-TURNING EXPERIMENT
Table-turning or table-tipping is a type of seance in which participants sit around a table, place their hands on it, and wait for rotations. The table was purportedly made to serve as a means of communicating with the spirits; the alphabet would be slowly called over and the table would tilt at the appropriate letter, thus spelling out words and sentences. The process is very similar to that of a Ouija board.
An experiment was conducted with 10 participants. At first they were divided into two separate group, the first group was informed that the table will turn to their left and similarly, the second group was informed that the table will turn to their right. As a result, the table din't moved at all, it stayed deadlock. Then a few days later again the same experiment was performed but this time each of the participants were told that the table will move to their right and as a result it did moved, giving the proof of ideo-motor effect at work plus it also gave the explanation for the non-existence of the spirits.
QUANTUM MECHANICS
Quantum Mechanic is the physics that explains most of the phenomena that a classical physics cannot. It is a branch of physics which deals with the physical phenomena at nanoscopic level where the actions are of the order of Planck Constant. It provides the mathematical description about the behaviour and interaction between energy and matter.
Most of us might have heard or read about the people who had near death experience and they all have one thing in common. They all mentioned that they saw a tunnel filled with a bright white light and they had an out-of-body experience. This is something which really gave us the proof for the existence of some other world. But, with the advancement in the field of quantum mechanics we are at the twilight of a new era.
Dr. Stuart Hameroff and his physicist friend Robert Penrose tried to explain the conciousness with the help of Quantum physics. They said that "There are micro-tubules present in our brain cells and these micro-tubules are responsible for all the quantum processing (Our souls basically)", they also said that "When people had near death like experience this quantum information left the brain but yet manages to exist and as a result people had out-of-body experience" thus explaining the conciousness and the spirit world. But, its still a theory and it still lacks a solid proof but scientist likes to believe it that way.
I would like to conclude here by saying that the humans are only afraid of the unknown, they have always been and they always will be afraid of the unknown as it is the basic fact for our survival in this world of unknowns but once we know about a particular thing, we learn to tackle it, and that's what makes the difference. So, folks, there are no ghosts, ghosts do not exists. Ghosts are Baloney.
